1. Service Description

Tianxia MUD (hereinafter referred to as "the Game") is a free-to-play text-based game developed and operated by WAPMUD. These Terms of Service apply to all users of the Game.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or terminate all or part of the service at any time without prior notice.

2. Virtual Items Nature ⚠️

2.1 Definition of Virtual Items

All "virtual items" in the Game include but are not limited to:

• Game characters (accounts)
• Virtual currency (game coins, ingots, etc.)
• Virtual equipment, items, materials
• Virtual pets, mounts
• In-game skills, levels, experience points
• Any other virtual content obtained in the game

2.2 Legal Nature of Virtual Items

Please read and fully understand the following terms carefully:

• Virtual Items = License to Use: All virtual items in the Game represent a license to use such items during the valid period of the game service, and do not constitute ownership of such items.
• Not User Property: All legal ownership of virtual items belongs to the game operator. Users only have the right to use such items in accordance with game rules during the game service period.
• No Property Value: Virtual items have no real-world monetary value. We do not recognize any exchange relationship between virtual items and real currency.

2.3 Effect of Service Termination

User understands and agrees that:

• When the game service terminates (including but not limited to the operator's decision to cease operations, server shutdown, etc.), the user's license to use virtual items terminates simultaneously.
• Users have no right to demand any form of compensation, damages, or refunds due to service termination.
• Virtual item data will be deleted after service termination and cannot be recovered.

3. User Code of Conduct

3.1 Prohibited Behaviors

When using the Game, users must not engage in the following behaviors:

• Exploiting game vulnerabilities or bugs to cheat
• Using third-party tools such as bots, scripts, or modifiers
• Spreading viruses or malicious code
• Harassing or insulting other players
• Posting illegal, harmful, or false information
• Attempting to attack or intrude into game servers
• Selling or buying game accounts or virtual items for real money

3.2 Penalty for Violations

For users who violate the user code of conduct, we have the right to take the following measures:

• Warning
• Temporary or permanent account suspension
• Deletion of violating content
• Pursuit of legal liability

4. Intellectual Property

All content of the Game, including but not limited to:

• Game software, source code
• Game graphics, sound effects, music
• Game text, storylines, dialogue
• Game logos, icons, interface design
• Derivative works of the above content

Their intellectual property rights belong to WAPMUD or its licensors and are protected by applicable laws and international treaties.

Users only have the right to use the Game for personal entertainment purposes and may not copy, modify, distribute, or commercially exploit the above content without authorization.

5. Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The Game is provided "as is" without any express or implied warranties.
• We are not liable for any direct or indirect losses resulting from the use of the Game.
• We are not responsible for service interruptions or data loss caused by force majeure, network failures, system maintenance, etc.
• Any losses caused by users' violation of these terms shall be borne by the users themselves.

6. Service Changes and Termination

We reserve the following rights:

• To modify game content, rules, and features
• To suspend or terminate all or part of the service
• To merge or close game servers
• To adjust the game's monetization model (if applicable)

If the game service is terminated, we will provide advance notice in-game or on the website (except for emergency termination due to force majeure).

User understands and agrees: Upon service termination, the user's license to use virtual items terminates simultaneously, and the user has no right to demand any compensation or damages.

7. Modification of Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. The modified terms will be posted on this page and notified to users in-game.

Continued use of the Game after the terms are modified constitutes acceptance of the modified terms by the user.

If the user does not agree to the modified terms, they should stop using the Game.

8. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

The conclusion, execution, interpretation, and dispute resolution of these Terms of Service shall be governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China.

In case of any dispute arising from these terms, both parties shall resolve it through friendly negotiation; if negotiation fails, either party may file a lawsuit with the People's Court at our location.
